the mismatcher delux ii is the biggest evolution in the mismatcher lineup. unlike earlier versions, the delux ii was redesigned completely from the ground up, keeping only the familiar control layout and patch interface.
this is the first handheld mismatcher powered by usb-c pd, allowing it to run at 9v instead of 5v, giving the circuit noticeably more headroom before clipping or distorting.
the system check warns you if you're using an improper power source or misconnect the expansion packs
at the heart of the device is the enhancer, the main video-glitch circuit. it features four key controls: input z, gain, feedback 1, and feedback 2. these can also be modulated externally using cv or gate signals.
alongside these controls are two additional switches that reshape the internal behavior of the circuit, altering both the gain frequency response and the internal feedback structure.
the sync mixer also received a complete overhaul. it now provides three control knobs: correction for adjusting sync restoration, luma for brightness, and chroma for saturation. a dedicated switch lets you change the sync mixer filter response to further tune the image.
another new addition is the onboard oscillator, which lets you automate effects using its frequency-controlled sine wave generator. simply route it into any of the cv or gate inputs to bring motion and modulation to your patches.
finally, the expansion port lets you grow the capabilities of your delux ii. all delux i expansion modules remain fully compatible with the new system.

a: the keychain splitter works as two 4-way splitters. it lets you send one signal to multiple parts of the circuit at the same time. for example, if you want to feed the same camera into the enhancer and the sync mixer, the splitter lets you branch that single video source into several patch cables.
q: what is the audio reactor?
a: the audio reactor is an expansion module for the mismatcher delux ii that lets you create effects that react to music or any audio source. it plugs directly into the expansion port.
q: what is the switch board?
a: the switch board is an expansion module for the mismatcher delux ii that lets you toggle effects more easily using four illuminated tactile switches.
q: can i purchase expansion modules after i've already bought my mismatcher delux ii?
a: absolutely. we'll be releasing more expansion modules over time, and you can add them to your delux ii whenever you like. all delux i expansions are also fully compatible.
q: what's the bare minimum equipment i need to use the mismatcher delux ii?
a: you'll need a device with a composite video output (yellow rca jack) such as a camera, console, vcr or dvd player, plus a tv or monitor with composite input and a few 3.5mm ts patch cables.
q: can i use the mismatcher delux ii with other pieces of video equipment, like an edirol v4?
a: yes. as long as the device can handle composite video, it will work with the mismatcher delux ii.
